LAPORTE, Indiana — Through two games this season, the Brandywine football team has rolled up 101 points en route to a 2-0 record.

The Bobcats scored 47 first half points and never looked back in beating host LaLumiere 61-12 on Saturday.

Unlike its opening win against Bridgman, Brandywine used a more balanced attack to beat the Lakers.

The Bobcats rushed for 289 yards and threw for 182.

Andrew Duckett had a big day for Brandywine as he completed eight of 16 passes with four touchdowns. Duckett also ran for a touchdown and intercepted a pass and returned it 85-yards for a score.

Marty Ward Jr. continued to run through opposing defenses as he finished with 149 yards on 11 carries and a pair of touchdowns.

Vinnie Peel caught two of Duckett’s passes for touchdowns, while Seth Brown and Charlie Rodriguez were also on the receiving end of scoring passes.

Jeshua Weiss finished with 79 yards rushing on 11 carries and a touchdown.

As good as the Brandywine offense was, the defense was equally as impressive.

The Bobcats held the Lakers to just 111 yards in total offense.
