BENTON TOWNSHIP — Lake Michigan College will host its annual College Night on Monday, Sept. 22. Attendees of this free event can meet with representatives from more than 60 colleges and universities throughout the Midwest. College-bound high school students and their parents, returning adult students, and transferring community college students are all encouraged to attend.

“Deciding where to go to college can be overwhelming,” said Vice President for Student Services, Dr. Clinton Gabbard. “Gathering this many schools under one roof is a great way for students to explore their options and ask questions in order to find the best fit.”

A financial aid workshop will be held at 7 p.m. where students can learn about scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study opportunities. An Early College workshop will be offered at 7:30 p.m. for high school students interested in earning college credit while they attend high school.

Among the participating schools are Michigan State University, the University of Michigan, Grand Valley State University, Ferris State University, Lake Michigan College, Siena Heights University, Central Michigan University, Western Michigan University, Michigan Technological University, Indiana University South Bend, Saint Mary’s College, and Andrews University.

College Night will be held 6:30 until 8 p.m. on Sept. 22, at the Mendel Center’s Grand Upton Hall on LMC’s Napier Avenue Campus at 2755 East Napier Avenue in Benton Harbor. See the full list of participating colleges and register for the event at www.lakemichigancollege.edu/collegenight.
