The Dowagiac Police Department received a missing persons report on Sunday for Rose Morris, who lives on the 300 block of East Division Street.

According to her family, Morris was last seen around 5:30 p.m. on July 24, after she left her home to meet with friends. Police determined that she indeed met with friends at another home in Dowagiac, and stayed there until leaving at around 11:30 p.m.

While police haven’t seen any indication that Morris is in danger, family is saying it is unlike her to not contact them. Authorities say that she does not have a cell phone or credit cards that can be used to track her.

Morris is 5 foot, 2 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds, and has brown eyes and brown hair that is usually worn up. She was last seen wearing blue shorts and a tank top, possibly pink or yellow.

Morris has been entered into the statewide computer system as a voluntary missing person. Information has been sent out to law enforcement agencies in southwest Michigan as well as northern Indiana.

Anyone with information about Morris’ whereabouts should call Dowagiac Police at (269) 782-9743 or the Cass County tip line at (800) 462-9328.
