A Chicago man died after being electrocuted while doing electrical work on a family residence in Penn Township Sunday, according to Cass County Sheriff Joseph Underwood Jr.

Underwood said his deputies were called to a residence on Diamond Island on Diamond Lake after Michael Koranda, 43, was found by family members.

Deputies and EMS arrived and Koranda was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted on scene by the Cass County Marine Division, Life Care ambulance and Penn Township Fire Department first responders.
