SCOTTS — Edwardsburg and Niles just missed out on advancing to the Division 2 Regional Golf Tournament Wednesday.

The Eddies missed advancing by four strokes and the Vikings by five strokes.

The top six teams advance to next week’s regional.

St. Joseph won the district championship with a score of 307.

Also advancing were Otsego, Richland, Gull Lake, Vicksburg, Lakeshore and Plainwell.

The Bears’ Matt Zerbell earned medalist honors with a round of 68.

Edwardsburg’s Carter Goodson (80), Dean Duke (85) and Niles’ Nick Borkowski (86) all advanced as individuals.
