Visiting Battle Creek Harper Creek edged Niles 2-1 in the second round of the Big 16 Conference Tournament Wednesday.

The Vikings were defeated despite outshooting Harper Creek 11-9.

Emily Gaines scored the lone Niles goal off an assist from Abby Gaines.

Bailee Kessler and Emily Casey combined for seven saves.

The Vikings will host Kalamazoo Home School at 5 p.m. Monday. Kalamazoo is not part of the Big 16, but helps fill out the league tournament bracket.
