The Dowagiac Dogwood Fine Arts Festival is accepting applications from area artists for the sixth consecutive Up Front Art Walk.

This event is a 10-day, 24-hour, juried art show displayed in windows of Dowagiac’s historic central business district May 9 through May 18.  Artwork can be viewed anytime, day or night, for self-directed tours.  Although most submitting artists hail from western Michigan and northern Indiana, Up Front Art has grown and has received submissions from all over Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.  All mediums are welcome.

Last year the festival was proud to present a cash award to the artist voted “Best of Show” by the viewing public. The 2014 season will, again, see cash awards and a gallery art show as part of the prize.
