LMC music department to perform

The Lake Michigan College Music Department will present a faculty recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 in the Dance/Drama Room (F117) of the Mendel Center for Arts and Technology.

The program will feature an array of works displaying the virtuosity, musicianship, and versatility of the LMC music faculty spanning the baroque, romantic, classical, and contemporary periods of music.

Violin faculty member Beth Oeseburg will perform Beethoven’s “Spring” Sonata, Op. 24, and will be joined by the DeLelio String Quartet (Forrest Miesse, violin; Burke Lokey, viola; and Jeff Oeseburg, cello) performing Schubert’s posthumous String Quartet No. 14 in D minor. Christina Gibson, flute, will perform Bach’s Flute Sonata in E-flat. DeLain Bomer, horn, will perform Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 62. Jason Gresl, clarinet, will perform Philip Sparke’s Clarinet Concerto. The accompanist for the program will be Anthony Beer.

The program is free of charge and open to the public. The recital takes place on the Napier Avenue Campus located at 2755 East Napier Ave., Benton Harbor.
