PLAINWELL — A 21-point first quarter led visiting Dowagiac to an easy 65-53 Wolverine Conference non-divisional boys basketball victory Tuesday night.

The Chieftains led 21-8 after one quarter and 38-19 at halftime. Dowagiac led 50-34 after three quarters.

Kyle Solloway scored 21 points for Dowagiac. Davion Highsmith, in his first game of the year, added 16 points. Brandon Winchester-Jones finished with 12 points.

E.J. Finch led Plainwell and all scorers with 22 points.
