Bobcats improve to 9-1 with rout of Hartford

HARTFORD — A 27-point first quarter explosion made for an easy night for visiting Brandywine in its 66-22 girls basketball victory over Hartford Monday night.

The Bobcats (9-1) grabbed a 27-8 first quarter lead and cruised home with the victory.

Emily Erwin scored a game-high 15 points to lead Brandywine, which also got 14 points from Tammy Lee and eight points from both Michaela Hartline and Alyssa Bolen.

Moriah Mireles led the Indians (3-5) with seven points.

The Bobcats will travel to Berrien Springs to make up a game Wednesday night.
