COLDWATER — Elyse Zimmerman scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Niles girls basketball team to a 61-46 win over host Coldwater in the opening round of the Cardinal Holiday Hoops Friday night.

Zimmerman also had five rebounds and four steals as the Vikings improved to 6-1 on the season.

Niles will take play in the championship at 5 tonight at Coldwater High School.

Emily Gaines added 13 points for the Vikings, who also got 12 points and four rebounds from Jazmin Brann.
