Brandywine claims Tip-off Classic title

CENTREVILLE – A big first half lifted the Brandywine Bobcats to a 60-23 victory over host Centreville in the title game of the Tip-Off Classic Wednesday night,

The Bobcats (2-0) raced out to a 17-5 first quarter lead and never looked back. Brandywine led 37-9 at halftime.

Victoria Ebersol led the Bobcats and all scorers with 17 points. Alyssa Bolen added 10 and Emily Erwin nine.

Mattie Kirby had eight points to pace the Bulldogs (1-1).

Brandywine also won the champion of the JV tournament by defeating Centreville 51-15.
