PLAINWELL — After winning all but one of the eight Wolverine Conference Jamborees, Plainwell was looking to put the finishing touches on an outstanding year as it hosted the league tournament Thursday.

Things didn’t quite turn out the way the Trojans planned as they were third at Lake Doster Thursday and ended up sharing the league championship with Comstock.

The Colts won the tournament championship at Lake Doster with a total of 397. Three Rivers finished second with a 404, while Plainwell shot 407.

Plainwell and Comstock finish with 22 points each to share the conference crown. Three Rivers finished third with 19 points.

Dowagiac had just two players take part in the league tournament and did not post a team score.

Kelsey Smith and Madison Proshwitz both finished with an 18-hole total of 124.

Holly Hines captured every medalist honor during the jamborees and nothing changed Thursday when she secured the individual championship with a 76. Veronica Anderson of Comstock was a distant second with a 94.
