Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police Chief Kenneth Wray reports that his department responded to a money scam on Gateway Drive Aug. 10.

The victim paid $200 to receive a loan. When it did not appear in bank account, he called the company and they told him to deposit $210 more. When the money did not appear in his bank account he felt it was a scam. The victim provided information about himself and bank account information.

Wray asks to please never provide personal information or bank accounts to anyone over a telephone.
