Cassopolis Public Schools will hold a budget hearing prior to its regular Board of Education meeting at Squires Education Center Monday.

The budget hearing, which is open to the public, is scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m.

At its regular meeting, which begins at 7 p.m., the board will adopt the final 2012-13 budget and adopt the 2013-14 preliminary budget. They will also adopt a state id borrowing resolution for the 2013-14 school year.

At a previous meeting, Cassopolis Superintendent Tracy Hertsel said the district would be borrowing a similar amount to last year, which was approximately $1.8 million.

The money is used for expenses until the district receives its state funding.

In other items, the board will discuss a graduation date schedule and recognize another group of retirees.
