U.S. postal carriers had their annual food drive on Saturday and, as usual, the City of Dowagiac came through with great generosity. 

It is important to know that foods collected are distributed locally, and the ACTION Ministries Food Pantry was one of the recipients. 

More than 800 pounds of food were delivered to the food pantry on May 11, which will allow them to meet the needs of the community for two weeks. 

“We wish to thank the postal carriers for their annual effort and the community for its generous support in meeting the needs of the hungry in Dowagiac.Thank you all for helping your neighbors in need,” the ACTION Ministries Board said in a statement.
