Cross-town rivals Brandywine and Niles went at it on the tennis courts at Plym Park Monday afternoon.

Facing one of its biggest tests of the season, the Bobcats remained undefeated with a 7-1 win over their arch rival Vikings.

“I was concerned about our focus going in due to our prom this weekend,” Brandywine coach Joe Marazita said. “But this was our best performance of the year. Victoria Knight was lights out at the net and Cassidy (Purucker) and Caitlyn (Cummins) also stood out with their play. It was a total team effort for local bragging rights.”

The Bobcats pretty much dominated the match from beginning to the end.

The closest flight was at No. 2 where Brandywine’s Alissa Gamble defeated Niles’ Allie Fuller 6-3 and 6-4.

The Vikings picked up their only win of the afternoon at No. 1 singles where Anna Flahaven defeated Jessica Blank 6-2 and 6-1.
