It took just over an hour for the Brandywine tennis team to improve to 2-0 in the Lakeland Conference.

The Bobcats blanked visiting Cassopolis 8-0 at Plym Park Thursday afternoon.

It was the first of two matches on the day for Brandywine. The Bobcats were playing home and away for the first time in history.

After defeating the Rangers, Brandywine headed to St. Joseph to take on Lake Michigan Catholic, which was also playing a doubleheader. The Lakers took on Coloma in advance of facing Brandywine.

Against Cassopolis, the Bobcats swept the doubles flights without dropping a game.

The Rangers forfeited at No. 3 doubles.

In singles action, Brandywine lost only six games.
