CASSOPOLIS — Cass County 4-H Leaders’ Association is holding its  2013 Cass County 4-H Auction, a silent and live auction Saturday at the Cass County Fairgrounds’ Agnes Gregarek Building, 590 N. O’Keefe St.

This auction will help fund the 4-H youth program in Cass County, which benefits almost 900 local youth.

At this time, the estimated cost for these programs for one year is $14,000.

Live auction items will be ready for viewing by 9a.m. on Saturday and will begin at 10 a.m.

Along with the live auction, there will be food items for sale and a silent auction.

Winners of the silent auction will be announced at the conclusion of the live auction.

All money collected remains with the Cass County 4-H Leaders’ Association for the 4-H program in Cass County.

Items to bid on include entertainment/food, household, yard and garden, tools, auto gift cards, home decor and much more.  For a complete list visit www.facebook.com/CassCountyMichigan4HYouthDevelopment.

Studies show that Michigan 4-H youth participants are less likely to smoke, drink or do drugs.  They are also more likely to have higher levels of academic competence, attend college programs and be more physically active than non-4-H participants.
