Dowagiac baseball opens season Saturday

The Dowagiac baseball team will open its 2013 season at the Corey Hinz Memorial Tournament hosted by South Haven High School Saturday.
Hinz lost his life in December 1988 in an automobile accident.
The tournament is a round robin format with host South Haven taking on Gobles in the opening round at 11 a.m.
Dowagiac will then face the Tigers at approximately 1 p.m. with the Chieftains and Rams squaring off in the final round around 3 p.m.
The Chieftains will then travel to Brandywine March 25 before opening up at home March 26 against Decatur.
