SMC celebrating women’s history

Dr. Mary Young-Marcks, social science faculty at Southwestern Michigan College, speaks on women in history, “Well-Behaved Women Rarely Make History,” as part of the Spring Academic Lecture Series.

Her lecture will be at 2 p.m. March 14 in the event theater of the Student Activity Center.

Other lectures in the series will be on the future of nuclear energy by Terry Groth, quality assurance at Entergy, of Kalamazoo and an SMC alumnus. Groth’s lecture begins at 2 p.m. April 4 in the event theater of the Student Activity Center.

The final event in the series will be the college’s speech competition from 4:30 to 6:15 p.m. April 19 in the event theater of the Student Activity Center.

This event is sponsored by the Communications/Humanities/Social Science department.

All lectures, which are free and open to the public, are on the Dowagiac campus.
