Chieftains 10th at Parma Western; Rangers second at Berrien

JACKSON — The Dowagiac wrestling team finished 10th out of 11 schools at the 49th annual Jim Dewland Invitational hosted by Parma Western Saturday.

Host Parma Western won the team championship with 142 points, while Chelsea was second with 124.5 and Warren De La Salle was third with 124.5 points.

Rounding out the top five were Ann Arbor Pioneer (115.5) and Vicksburg (106).

The Chieftains finished with 42 points.

Cassopolis wrestling

BERRIEN SPRINGS — The Cassopolis wrestling team went 3-1 to finish second at the Berrien Springs Shamrock Winter Classic Saturday.

Hartford went 4-0 to win the team title. Host Berrien Springs was third with a 2-2 mark.

The Rangers’ Khalil Brown went 4-0 on the day.
