MILFORD – The Niles wrestling team remained undefeated as it won the Yeti Challenge at Milford High School Friday.

The Vikings went 5-0 to win the championship.

Niles defeated No. 9-ranked (Division 4) Sand Creek 61-14, L’anse Cruise North 75-3, Milford 63-12, Livonia Franklin 34-31 and No. 4-ranked (Division 3) Swan Valley 42-20.

Going undefeated on the day for Niles were Nicholas Zimmerman, Casey Burandt, Ryan Casey and Derek Scott. Fritzel Findeisen was 4-1 on the day.

The Vikings are now 16-0 on the season.

Comstock Colt Invitational

COMSTOCK – The Buchanan wrestling team finished third at the Comstock Colt Invitational Friday behind Forest Hills Central and Decatur.

Jeff Mucha (140), Jim DeVlaminck (215) and Gage Hutchison were all individual champions for the Bucks.

Hutchison was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Wrestler.
