To the editor:

I recently attended a local Tea Party meeting in Cassopolis. Matt Lori was there with a fellow legislator to talk about fruit and vegetable processing in southwest Michigan.

Matt Lori didn’t say much; he just sat there and pulled at his tie and fidgeted with his shirtsleeves, and made little or no eye contact. I have to say I wasn’t impressed. I understand Matt is strictly a party man.

He can’t go against them or he’ll be locked out.

His voting record proves that, and from what I saw it’s not going to change.

Having gotten to know Mike Moroz over the past few months, I can say we will have a class act in Lansing.

Mike is smart, he listens and he really cares about people in this district.

This is the first time we have a serious candidate from Cass County in the general election.

For too long we have been overlooked and it’s time for that to change. I hope you’ll consider voting for Mike Moroz for state representative (59th) on Nov. 6.
