An Illinois man is dead after a two-car accident Sunday morning in Berrien County.
Erdman Spradlin, 84, of Naperville, Ill., died from injuries at the scene, according to a report by the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.
Emergency responders were dispatched to an accident on Interstate 94 between the Michigan/Indiana state line and Wilson Road at 11:05 a.m. Officers from the Berrien County Sheriff’s New Buffalo Township Patrol found that a west bound Subaru Forrester driven by Spradlin lost control and crossed the center median. The Subaru continued into the eastbound lanes of I-94 and struck a Dodge Neon, driven by Debra Moss, 50, of Ann Arbor.
Spradlin was traveling with his wife, Mary, 84.
Mary Spradlin and Moss were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At this time alcohol does not appear to be a factor. The Berrien County Accident Reconstruction Team is continuing the investigation in this traffic crash.
