Police looking for hit and run suspect

Police are looking for a person believed to be responsible for a hit-and-run accident that occurred last month.
Michigan State Police are reporting at approximately 6:15 p.m. July 23 a subject was riding a bicycle northbound on Lakeshore Drive near Hawthorne Avenue in St. Joseph when she was struck by a vehicle also traveling northbound. The suspect vehicle did not stop and continued north on Lakeshore Drive. The vehicle is described as a Honda passenger car, black or possible dark blue in color, displaying a standard (white with blue bar) Michigan license plate with possible letters of “CL.” This vehicle has not been located.
Prior to this occurrence, a separate bicyclist traveling on Lakeshore Drive reported being struck by an object being held out the window of a black car. The incidents may be related.
