A Tucson, Ariz., man who recently moved to Union is under arrest on multiple charges of criminal sexual conduct and possession of child pornography.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department reports that on Thursday evening deputies were contacted by FBI special agents from New York who advised that they had information to believe that a 15-year-old female, who had ran away from her residence in Monroe, N.Y., to meet a 45-year-old male she had met online, was possibly in Cass County.

An investigation involving sheriff deputies, Cass County Central Dispatch and Cass County Drug Enforcement Team detectives ensued and at approximately 11 p.m. on Thursday the victim was found uninjured at a residence in the 71000 block of Spencer Drive in Union.

Also found with the minor was the adult who had solicited her online, Dean Young, 45, originally of Tucson. Young had recently moved to Union where he had been living with a friend. Information and evidence was discovered that led investigators to arrest Young on multiple charges of criminal sexual conduct, possession of child pornography and using a computer for the solicitation of a minor for immoral purposes. He is being held in Cass County jail on a $75,000 bond.

The victim was turned her over to her parents Friday.
