An Edwardsburg man believed to be one of three individuals responsible for taking $180,000 cash, computers and cell phones from an Edwardsburg business will be arraigned Wednesday in Cass County Court.

Chief Kenneth Wray, of Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police, said Joseph P. Rodick turned himself in Tuesday afternoon, but didn’t indicate to police why he turned himself in.

“He isn’t talking to us,” Wray said.

Rodick posted bond a short time after being arrested on a preliminary charge of felony receiving and concealing stolen property.

Police believe two other individuals, in addition to Rodick, broke into Village Automatics, a machine business on Section Street, late July 6 or early July 7. Wray said the other men are still at-large and believed to be living in the Edwardsburg area.

Rodicks’ arraignment hearing is 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Village Automatics is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons involved.
