BROOKLYN – Finally.

Four years after the streak started, Dale Earnhardt Jr. found his way back to Victory Lane at Michigan International Speedway Sunday.

Earnhardt Jr. dominated the Quicken Loans 400, finishing more than five seconds ahead of runner-up Tony Stewart.

Sprint Cup Series points leader Matt Kenseth came home and held on to his lead. He will head to Sonoma, Calif. with a four-point lead over Earnhardt Jr.

The win was the 19th of Earnhardt Jr.’s career and gave him 12 top 10 finishes in 2012, which makes his total for top 10s from all of last year.

Earnhardt Jr.’s last victory came at MIS in June of 2008.
