About 25 people gathered at noon Thursday at Niles City Hall to observe the 61st annual National Day of Prayer.

Pastor Collin Seitz of Community Evangelical Free Church led the event, hosted by the Niles Ministerial

Association.

There were also observances at Howard and Niles township halls.

This year’s theme, “One Nation Under God,” is based on Psalm 33:12, which says, “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
