The Berrien County Health Department is offering free hearing and vision screenings for children throughout the county who will be entering kindergarten or preschool in September.

Screenings will take place at the following locations and times:

• Countryside Academy, Benton Township: 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday

• New Buffalo Elementary: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. April 24

• Northside Learning Center, Niles: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 9

• Bridgman Elementary: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. May 19

• Michigan law requires children entering kindergarten to have these exams.
