Hoogendyk swipes at term-limit pledgePublished 10:26pm Wednesday, April 11, 2012
Jack Hoogendyk, a 6th District congressional candidate, has pledged to support and co-sponsor an amendment to the U.S. Constitution limiting congressional terms if he is elected.
He also has used it as an opportunity to take aim at incumbent Fred Upton.
“Michigan’s 6th congressional district is represented by someone who has been living and working in Washington for over 37 years, the last 25 as a member of Congress,” Hoogendyk said.
“He is a career politician .… Our founders never intended it to be this way.”
