STURGIS — Visiting Edwardsburg lost 8-5 in seven innings to Sturgis Wednesday, despite outhitting Sturgis 7-6.

Dalton Raymond led the Eddies  at the plate. Raymond went 2-for-3, drove in one and scored one run.

The Eddies had no answer for Chance Stewart, who cruised on the rubber. Edwardsburg managed just one hit off of Stewart, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his three innings of work.

Jalen Cox got the win in relief for Sturgis. Cox pitched one inning and allowed four runs.
