As a result of the Borgess Tree of Love campaign raising more than $8,400, Lee Memorial Foundation and Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital are able to share the gift of a free mammogram to low-income women who are uninsured or underinsured and meet certain eligibility requirements.
When breast cancer is detected early, the five-year survival rate is 98 percent.
Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital looks forward to saving lives through early detection with its mammogram Tree of Love gift and funds from the Susan G. Komen southwest Michigan affiliate.
