Power restored

CASSOPOLIS — About 2,800 Midwest Energy Cooperative members were without power for about three hours Tuesday afternoon after transmission to the Calvin and Jones substations was dropped. Cassopolis, Vandalia and Jones are the areas most heavily impacted.
Cooperative officials said power was restored by 7 p.m. after a tree fell onto a transmission line near Donnell Lake.
Midwest Energy Cooperative is a member-owned electric utility providing electric distribution and an assortment of energy-related programs and services to more than 35,000 customers.
