The Edwardsburg girls and boys basketball teams recorded a pair of sweeps against visiting Bronson and Coloma.

The Eddies defeated the Vikings 74-54 and the Comets 62-36 in boys basketball action.

Edwardsburg knocked off Bronson 44-29 and Coloma 43-27 in girls basketball.

Josh Kozinski poured in 30 points against Bronson Friday night.

The Eddies (8-6) scored 27 first quarter points and then coasted home with the victory against the Vikings.

Edwardsburg led 43-29 at halftime.

Kyle Slack added 19 points for the Eddies.

Sean Czajkowski led Bronson with 20 points.

Against Coloma Tuesday night, Edwardsburg raised its Lakeland Conference record to 5-3 and its overall mark to 9-6.

Kozinski had another big night as he netted 28 points.

Nate Caldwell, Earl Taylor and Tyler Fischer all had eight points for the Comets, who trailed the Eddies by 22 points (42-20) heading into the fourth quarter.

The Edwardsburg girls basketball team handed Bronson a 44-29 setback Friday night.

Sarah D’Amico led all scorers with 21 points. The Eddies also got seven points from Ashley Streb.

Edwardsburg grabbed a 23-15 halftime lead and increased it to 34-21 after three quarters.

Kylei Ratkowski had 11 points for the Vikings.

Edwardsburg remained a game behind No. 4-ranked Brandywine in the Lakeland Conference Tuesday night with a 43-27 victory over Coloma.

The Eddies (12-5, 8-1 Lakeland) managed only seven points in the opening quarter, but opened up an 18-7 lead by halftime. Edwardsburg took a 29-19 advantage to the fourth quarter and then outscored the Comets 14-8.

Mariah Murphy led Edwardsburg with 16 points. D’Amico added 11.

Amanda Swihart led the Comets with 12 points.
