Dogwood Chorale will sing at SMC Jan. 27 for an elegant evening of dining and music that benefits youth vocal camp

Enjoy an evening that will please the senses. Four Courses with the Chorale is a fundraising dinner concert to benefit the Dogwood Youth Vocal Camp. The Chorale will perform music from Brahms to The Beatles, and Tim Carrigan, chef for Fernwood Botanical Gardens, will prepare a four-course meal.
The evening, which begins at 7 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Mathews Conference Center on the Dowagiac campus of Southwestern Michigan College, will also showcase a wine-tasting station featuring Nate Wines.
Money raised will go to the Dogwood Youth Vocal Camp is preparing for its sixth year of summer music for students. The camp is designed to encourage and promote the art of choral music through daily rehearsals and enrichment classes in basic musicianship and vocal techniques.
Over the past five years, 178 students from across southwest Michigan have attended this summer camp.
Training and activities are facilitated by members of the Dogwood Chorale under the direction of Dave Carew. The week-long workshop culminates in a free public concert at the end of camp week.
