State Rep. Sharon Tyler maintained a perfect voting record during the entire Michigan House legislative session of 2011, it was announced this week.

Tyler did not miss a single vote of the 619 roll-call votes the House took this year, continuing her perfect voting record for a third consecutive year.

The nonpartisan website www.michiganvotes.org compiles the voting histories of lawmakers in the Michigan House and Senate.

“I am honored to represent the people of southwest Michigan at the state Capitol,” said Tyler, of Niles. “It should be expected that I am there for each vote — especially with the tough choices facing Michigan. These votes are critical to our state’s revitalization, job creation and economic success.”

The Michigan House this year enacted numerous reforms to help job providers create jobs in Michigan, finished the state budget earlier than any time during the last 30 years, and eliminated lifetime benefit perks for state lawmakers.
