Dowagiac Public Safety Director Tom Atkinson reports that at 11:43 p.m. Friday, officers from the Dowagiac Police Department responded to Vineyard Place Apartments for a report of an armed robbery.
Upon the city officers’ arrival, suspects had already fled on foot.
Over the course of the investigation, officers determined the location of the suspects.
The victim reported that one male suspect wearing a hooded sweatshirt and concealing his face with a bandanna demanded his wallet and money at gunpoint.
Officers later made contact at the apartment where the two suspects fled.  Officers identified the two male suspects involved, a 22-year-old male and a 21-year-old male.
Both suspects were lodged at Cass County Jail for armed robbery.
The case will be turned over to the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
Dowagiac officers were assisted by Cass County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
