The class will present a report on their project at Monday’s Niles school board meeting. Landgraf encourages all who attend the meeting to bring a nonperishable food item to donate.

Ann Landgraf’s first-grade class at Eastside Connections organized a food drive, which collected more than 1,000 food items in less than three weeks for the Christian Service Center in Niles.

All Eastside students participated in the drive, but Landraf’s class was in charge of daily tasks, such as collecting the food and charting how much was raised.

Landgraf’s students will host a pizza party next week for the class that brought in the most food.
