Historical museum hosts fall events

The Edwardsburg Area Historical Museum announces its fall schedule. A new display, “Medical Myths and Miracles, Alternative Healing,” was recently put in place.
This is the last in the series of exhibits focusing on health for this year. It features crystals, herbs, acupuncture and other alternatives medicines.
The final display will feature the lighted Christmas towns of  John and Sally Dalrymple. Their collection of villages will feature a hospital and the surrounding town. Other holiday collections will be added this year. This exhibit will be ready for viewing on Nov. 14.
The annual flag retirement ceremony will take place  Veterans Day, Nov. 11.  All used flags will be burned at the Veterans Memorial  on the grounds of the Museum at 6 p.m. Flags may be dropped off at the American Legion, VFW or at the Museum.  Boxes are provided for the collection of the flags at those locations.
Santa will be coming to town on Nov. 26 and stopping at the Fire Station on M-62. The Museum ladies will be holding their annual candy sale at the fire station on that day.
Oral histories are concluding the fall activities with  John Sindelar of Sindelar Fine Woodworking Museum and factory on November 3 and Anita Kaminski  Sparks on Nov. 17. The public is  invited at 7 p.m. to these events at the museum.
The museum will close Dec. 17 and reopen on May 14.

The Museum is located on U.S. 12, 26818 Main St. Hours are 1 to 4 every day except Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
