One of the five Niles teenagers allegedly involved in the video sex extortion case has been charged

Miller

with two more felonies.
Martell Miller, 17, faces one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and another count of fourth-degree CSC, using force or coercion against a female minor.
Assistant Prosecutor Steve Pierangeli said the charges stem from an incident unrelated to the March sex extortion situation. Miller is slated to be in Berrien County Trial Court in Niles this morning for a preliminary hearing for the new charges.
Miller is already facing five charges in the original case — two counts of first-degree CSC, two counts of third-degree CSC and a count of extortion.
Miller, along with Parnell Martin, Leon Murphy and Martise Washington, were allegedly involved in a scheme to blackmail an underage female into having sex with them. They allegedly threatened to post a video recording of her having sex with one of them on Facebook if she didn’t comply.
Trey Nichols, another Niles teen involved in the case, is facing child pornography charges for allegedly producing the recording.
Trials are scheduled for mid-October for Martin, Miller, Nichols and Washington. Murphy, meanwhile, accepted a plea bargain in May, pleading guilty to a count of third-degree CSC and a count of possession of child pornography. He will testify against his co-defendants as part of the deal.
