Upton to make stop in nearby Cassopolis

U.S. Rep. Fred Upton, R-Mich., will be at the Cass County Council on Aging in Cassopolis Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. to talk about issues that concern older adults and the disabled.

The program is free and open to the public.

Upton will discuss transportation for seniors and disabled citizens, federal budget issues, and what measures are being put into place to care for the growing senior population. He will also take questions.

Upton represents Michigan’s 6th Congressional District and has recently been named to the federal deficit reduction supercommittee.
