BCYF to host Volunteer Day Thursday

Published 5:31pm Monday, August 15, 2011

Volunteer Day at the Berrien County Youth Fair is Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. Area nonprofit agencies and organizations will be featuring their services and welcome the opportunity to meet and greet the public in the USA Building at the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds.
Each year, the fair allows the Volunteer Center of Southwest Michigan to host Volunteer Day as a way for area nonprofit agencies to promote volunteerism. A featured development this year is that the 22 participating nonprofit agencies are each bringing a hands-on project to engage fair visitors. These projects will be simple, family-friendly and designed to help individuals and families of all ages who attend the fair to volunteer in an easy, user-friendly way.
Call the Volunteer Center at 983-0912 or 683-5464 for more information on Volunteer Day at the Berrien County Youth Fair.  Be sure to check out all area nonprofit agencies listed at www.volunteerswmi.org. E-mails may be sent to volunteer@volunteerswmi.org.
