The Cass County Great Start Parent Coalition is announcing a Parent to Parent Sale scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Gregarek Building in the Cass County Fair Grounds from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Parent to Parent Sale will include items specifically for kids and expecting moms.

These sales aimed at helping control a budget when providing a wardrobe for children who are growing faster than they can wear out their clothes.

Parents rent tables where they can sell clothes, toys and miscellaneous items that their families have outgrown. Parents typically sell these items at steep discounts, to clear out their own closets for an update.

In turn, those same parents and the public can shop at these sales to find bargains — clothes that are slightly used and even clothes that still have the tags on them.

A variety of items can be found, from videos to video games, from baby bottles to raincoats — changing tables, to car seats, just about anything a family could need.

Table rental fees are $5 per table. Parents interested in renting a table can contact Natasha Johnson at (269) 816-2934. The deadline to reserve a table is Aug. 16.

There is a $1 entry fee per adult into the sale.

Funds raised from table rentals and entry fees will go to the Cass County Great Start Parent Coalition to create a family emergency fund.

The Cass County Great Start Parent Coalition is a sub-committee of the Cass County Great Start Collaborative, which is made up of parents, clergy, business people and health and human service organization leaders.
