All In Love will reunite for a fifth time since 2004 for encore performances Aug. 5 and 6 at Czar’s 505, 505 Pleasant St., St. Joseph.

Doors open at 8 p.m. and the music starts at 9 p.m. The cover charge is $10. All In Love is donating all proceeds to Animal Aid of Southwestern Michigan, the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan and Save A Stray in St. Joseph.

In August 2004, the group performed to a packed house at Czar’s 505 and later donated $1,000 to the John E.N. Howard Band Shell Rehabilitation Fund. In 2005, they performed for two consecutive nights and raised $2,200 for Animal Aid of Southwestern Michigan. In 2007, $2,300 was donated to Animal Aid of Southwestern Michigan and the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan. In 2009, they raised $3,200, which was divided between Animal Aid of Southwestern Michigan, the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan and Save A Stray in St. Joseph.

“All In Love — Live At Czar’s 505,” recorded during the 2005 performances, was released in 2007 at CD Baby. The group’s original members, Terry Brady (bass/vocals), Greg Horn (guitar/vocals), Fred Li (sax), Jeff Petrosky (sax) and Scott Schalon (drums/vocals), grew up in St. Joseph and performed together in an assortment of bands throughout their high school years.

The band established itself in Ann Arbor in 1973, playing its own original compositions and covers by Tower of Power, Chicago, Average White Band, The Doobie Brothers, Stevie Wonder and many others. During its existence, All In Love”performed in countless nightclubs throughout Michigan and was featured at numerous high school and college proms. In its heyday, the group would draw more than 1,000 people to the Back Alley nightclub in Bridgman.

Although the group disbanded after a few years, and its members currently live in Minneapolis, Nashville, San Diego, The Woodlands (Texas), Honolulu and Detroit, they have stayed in touch and continue to perform in their locales.

Animal Aid was formed 25 years ago by a small group of dedicated volunteers who got tired of hearing how “someone should do something” about injured, abused and neglected animals in their area, so they banded together to be that “someone.” Animal Aid was born.

The Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan exists to provide shelter and care to sick, homeless, abused and unwanted animals. The goal is to provide good homes for each of these precious animals.

Save A Stray is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and re-homing of homeless cats and dogs.
