110718FirstChristianChurchFive members of Dowagiac’s First Christian Church went on a mission trip to Dyersburg, Tenn., (June 22-July 2) to assist in rebuilding homes for three families effected by the floods from earlier this year.
During their trip, they were hosted by the First United Methodist Church of Dyersburg.
Although the weather remained close to 100 degrees during their stay, they still found the strength to be a part of a group of 32 people from Michigan and Illinois who successfully rebuilt one house from the ground up, and did major repairs to two others.
Last year the group assisted flood victims in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
