There is still time to sign up for the 2010 Niles City Golf Tournament, which will be held this coming weekend at Plym Park Golf Course.

The city tournament began in 1957 and has a rich history.

There are seven total flights — Championship, A, B, C, Senior Championship, A and Senior B.

It costs just $20, plus greens fees and a cart. Deadline for entry is 5 p.m. on Friday. There will be 18 holes of golf on both days.

The first of two days of golf will begin at 8 a.m. The Championship, A, B, C, Senior A and Senior B will tee off in that order.

On Sunday, the field will be reversed for the 8 a.m. start.

John Kessick won a rain-shortened Championship Flight title last summer as he rallied from two strokes down.

Kessick entered the second day tied with Adam Enders and Greg Raklovits.

The tournament was shortened to 27 holes due to torrential rains that swept through the area on Sunday.

Doug Doucet also rallied from a two-stroke deficit to capture the A Flight championship, while Josh Hampton won the B title and Jim Conrad won the C Flight crown.

Fred Knutel captured the Senior Championship Flight with Jerry Dalenberg winning the A Flight and Dave Bicard winning the B Flight.
