Niles fourth in its portion of the Big 16 tourney

PORTAGE – The Niles tennis team finished fourth in its portion of the Big 16 Tennis Tournament on Saturday.

Kalamazoo Central won with 44 points, while Coldwater and Battle Creek Harper Creek were second and third respectively.

Niles finished with 29 points.

Lena Cramer and Allison Landgraf (15-5) won the title at No. 1 doubles, while Meg Hein and Danielle Rothfuchs (12-6) were champions at No. 2 doubles.

Rachael Horn (15-5) won at No. 1 singles, while Paxton Schaller and Tearah Hutcheson were third at No. 4 doubles.
