Eddies win second straight jamboree

Edwardsburg won its second straight Lakeland Conference Golf Jamboree on Tuesday at Brookwood.

The Eddies shot 171 as a team to easily defeat runner-up Coloma by 13 strokes.

The Comets finished with a 184.

Berrien Springs finished third with a 1293, while Buchanan was fourth with a 195 and host Brandywine fifth, also with a 195.

The Bucks earned the fourth place spot due to the fifth-man tiebreaker.

Bridgman finished sixth with a 197 and Cassopolis seventh with a 210.

Chris Eaton took medalist honors for the second straight jamboree as he shot a 36.

The Eddies also got a 41 from Cameron Barber, a 46 from Pierce Bourgeois, a pair of 48s from Brody Baucus and Dominic Razzano, as well as a 51 from Matt Habicht.

Brandywine was led by Dillon Bailey’s 43.

Zach Rose shot 48 for the Bobcats, who also got a 51 from Nate Balint, a 53 from Jason Andrews and a 59 from Adam Earles.

Adam Byrdak paced Buchanan with a 47. Derek Blank shot 49, Brent Brown 49, Josh Whitfield 50 and Kole Griffey 50. Dustan Craig finished with a 52.
